Keep the analogue devices the site still depends on.
TA Series connects analogue phones, fax machines and legacy PBX systems to an IP telephony network. On a migration it is what lets the lifts, gates, paging amplifiers and fax lines stay in service while the phone system moves.
Connect analogue devices to the IP system.
Choose the port count against the devices that have to stay, not the devices that are currently plugged in.
TA400
4 FXS ports for analogue phones on IP-based data networks. SIP standard compliant and compatible with a range of PBXs, IP-PBXs, softswitches and phones.
TA800
8 FXS ports for analogue phones, aimed at simplifying integration between a legacy phone system and an IP-based one.
TA1600

TA2400
24 FXS ports, aimed at branch offices and multi-tenant buildings connecting to an IP network.
TA3200
32 FXS ports for integrating analogue phones, fax machines and legacy PBX systems into an IP communications system.
Connect analogue lines to the IP system.
FXO models interface with analogue telephone lines or a PABX extension interface.
TA410
4 FXO ports connecting analogue telephone lines or a PABX extension interface to a VoIP network.
TA810
8 PSTN lines or PBX extension ports, aimed at call centres, multi-location companies and carrier services.
TA1610

What the range does, across both directions.
The feature set is consistent across the series. The decision is port type, port count and whether remote management is required.
- 4/8/16/24/32 FXS ports, or 4/8/16 FXO ports
- Flexible calling rules and routing
- T.38 fax support
- Standard codecs with line echo cancellation for 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128 ms echo delays
- Multiple methods for lighting the message waiting indicator
- Web-based GUI for configuration and management
- Interoperability across a range of legacy and IP equipment
Remote management is not on every model.
Managing a customer-premises gateway remotely requires the Remote Management feature, which is supported only on TA1610, TA1600, TA2400 and TA3200 in the V3 hardware version. If remote management matters to the service model, confirm the model and hardware version before ordering.
Scope the analogue dependencies before the cutover date.
Bring TeraFi the device inventory and the line position. We will confirm the model, the port count and where the gateway fits in the transition.
Fact-checked on 22 September 2026 against the Yeastar TA Series product description and datasheet. Gateways are a transition and connectivity component, not an end state. Treat legacy connectivity as a documented dependency with an owner and an exit plan. Model availability and feature support must be confirmed at the time of order.
