For the sites still carrying ISDN BRI.
TB200 and TB400 are compact standalone BRI gateways offering 2 or 4 BRI ports, in both directions: BRI to VoIP and VoIP to BRI. They let an ISDN PBX reach a VoIP network, or an IP PBX reach a remaining ISDN service.
What it does on a transitional site.
A BRI gateway is usually holding one of two positions: an ISDN PBX that needs to reach VoIP, or an IP PBX that still needs ISDN BRI trunking for a service that has not been ported.
- Software-configurable TE/NT modes for integration in either direction
- Gives an ISDN PBX access to a VoIP network
- Provides additional ISDN BRI trunking for an IP PBX
- ISDN compliant with proven interoperability
- Compatible with a range of ISDN PBX, IP-PBX and softswitch platforms
- Low power consumption
Check the service before the hardware.
ISDN services in Australia have been progressively withdrawn. Before specifying a BRI gateway, confirm the service is actually still in place and what the carrier position is on its remaining life — that answer often changes the design.
Confirm the ISDN position before it decides the design.
Bring TeraFi the carrier and service detail. We will confirm whether a gateway belongs in the design or whether the service should move first.
Fact-checked on 22 September 2026 against the Yeastar TB Series product description. Gateways are a transition and connectivity component, not an end state. Treat legacy connectivity as a documented dependency with an owner and an exit plan. Carrier ISDN availability must be confirmed independently for each site.
